Gambia Press Union has gotten a new president.
Foroyaa journalist Muhammed S Bah has become the new president of the GPU after winning a vote that featured three candidates.

Thirty-six journalists gave Mr Bah the nod with his close challenger Omar Wally garnering 28 votes. A third candidate, Kerr Fatou Editor Mustapha Ceesay got nine votes.
Mr Bah replaces Sheriff Bojang Jnr who has elected not to seek re-election after the end of a three-year term.
