Gambian’s Boxer Badou Jack alias the Ripper has become the new WBA light-heavyweight champion after defeating Welshman Nathan Cleverly in the 5th round on Saturday.

The title fight was featured on the undercard of the Mayweather-McGregor fight in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The 33-year old Badou has Swedish and Gambian heritage, but has been based in the United States for most of his professional career.
A former WBC Super Middleweight champion, Jack represented The Gambia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Jack moves up from the World Boxing Council (WBC) to the light heavyweight class of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
