Dictator Yahya Jammeh has ordered for the dismissal of Magistrate Muhammed Krubally, The country’s first and only visually impaired magistrate. According to sources, Krubally’s dismissal came after he presided over a case in which the dictator has special interest. He presided over the said case at The Bundung Magistrate Court.
His dismissal letter came Thursday, August 18, after he already left the country to attend The World Blind Union Conference, currently taking place in The United States of America. His driver is reported to have been asked to surrender the official vehicle assigned to Magistrate Krubally.
Colleagues described Krubally as very bright and a no nonsense man who does not allow interference when it comes to his job. They have also hinted that Krubally will most likely be arrested upon his return to Banjul.
