Eid to be marked in Gambia on Thursday, officials of nation’s top Islamic body say

Top imams at the nation’s top Islamic body the Supreme Islamic Council said on Tuesday evening the moon has not been sighted in The Gambia – now pushing the Eid festival to Thursday.

The officials including Imam Ibrahim Jarju appeared on GRTS moments ago where they made the announcement.
