Dou Sanno says people of Niamina west labelled UDP and GDC as corpses – and recites Quran verse recited when one dies

The president’s top aide Dou Sanno has said the people of Niamina West have described UDP and GDC as corpses following last Saturday’s by-election.

UDP throwing its weight behind GDC could not save the party from NPP’s furnace after NPP emerged with a comprehensive victory and securing its first elected MP.

And speaking at the NPP’s victory celebration in Banjul on Monday, Dou Sanno said: “But His Excellency, I want to tell you they (people of Niamina) said they have two corpses there. Thee corpses are not human corpses but these corpses are parties.

“They said UDP has died there, they said GDC has also died there. And so we will say to God we came from and to him we shall return.”
