‘Don’t misquote’: Interpreter learns Hamat Bah’s serious side after he wrongly referred to Sutay Jawo as a permanent secretary

Hamat Bah vigorously corrected an interpreter after he termed Sutay Jawo as a permanent secretary in an astonishing dressing down.

Sutay Jawo is a deputy permanent secretary at the ministry of youth and sport in the technical department.

But at President Barrow’s meeting on Wednesday in Kiang Nema, an interpreter could be heard thanking Sutay Jawo while referring to him as permanent secretary.

“Is deputy permanent secretary, don’t misquote. You have the permanent secretary sitting there,” Hamat Bah lashed at the interpreter from where he was sitting in comments a hot mic caught.

The Nema meeting is still on and being broadcast live by Eye Africa TV.
