17 health workers that had contact with nurse killed by coronavirus are pulled from public and put in quarantine

The ministry of health has revealed 17 health workers have been taken into quarantine after they came into contact with a senior EFSTH nurse that died of coronavirus.

The ministry on Monday revealed a 50-year-old senior nurse working at EFSTH died of COVID-19 last Saturday, the third person to succumb to the disease in the country.

On Tuesday, the ministry said in its report 17 health workers that had contact with him have been placed on quarantine.

“While 24 persons were newly taken into quarantine, 1 new person has been discharged. The newly quarantined include 17 health worker contacts of Case 061 (the deceased healthcare worker),” the ministry said.
