Dr Tamsir Mbowe’s much anticipated appearance at the TRRC ended with the top doctor stating former President Yahya Jammeh’s HIV/AIDS cure was in fact true.
The health professional was the former president’s most trusted aide in a cure programme that began in 2007 and ran for ten years.

Appearing before the TRRC on Wednesday, Dr Mbowe stood his ground throughout even as Essa Faal persistently asked him to accept that the cure was fake.
“The treatment was true,” Dr Mbowe standing his ground told Essa Faal in their final exchange on Wednesday.
The lawyer had blasted Jammeh’s cure was bogus and it was a lie.
