UDP leader Ousainou Darboe has confidently said he has what it takes to dethrone President Adama Barrow at the December election.

“InshaAllah, I know I have what it takes to really defeat President Adama Barrow. We’re not boasting, we’re speaking with reason. We know the political contour, we know how it is formed and we know what is out there,” Darboe told The Fatu Network in an exclusive interview.

Gambians will head to the polls in December to elect a new president, the first presidential election since the overturning of Jammeh’s dictatorship in 2016.

UDP selected Darboe last Wednesday to be its battle axe in an election which will see President Barrow seek a second term in office.
