The college student union’s Amie Keita said: “The advice I’ll give to the government is, they should try their level best to make sure that things go back to normal because we are facing challenges.

“Not all the students are attending the online classes and after all we will have to come back and do the exams and when you fail you will do a reseat and their marks will be really poor and some of the students receive their byte but where they are the Network is very poor , you can’t even access to the online classes. The government should try and help us ,we are the young people and all we need is education.”

Adama Fatty Vice President of Gambia College Student Union said: “You will realise that ,all the media houses have been coming to the Gambia College on several occasions because the students at one point or another want to embark on a strike.

“We have a College that is huge in number and the students at some point are not given what they deserve. If you go to the Gambia College, the classrooms you have to go around scrambling for chairs when you have a class.

“And out of ten thousand students we have only two a functioning busses which are only used when we have trips to do.This is the biggest institution in this country and to me this is quite a challenge.”
