The spokesperson for The Gambia Police Force, Inspector Foday Conta, has denied the arrest of former National Assembly Member for Tumana, Netty Baldeh.
It was rumored that the former MP was arrested last week by the police for being in possession of a gun without license.
Police PRO said Netty was call for questioning by the Police regarding a vehicle that was under his possession, but when it was tabled out the matter was handover to government vehicle control unit.
With regard to the gun Police PRO said Netty, has a gun with him but it was a hunting gun and it was licensed. “Police didn’t invite Netty because of the gun but he was invited because of the vehicle under his possession that is suspected to be a government vehicle.”
